Start with a body reference.
The scanned head places the eyewear outline in context. It makes the relationship between the brow, lens area and side profile easier to judge than an isolated drawing.

CAD / 3D / TECHNICAL DESIGN
My design practice connects digital form, garment development and technical documentation with hands-on making.
Selected studies by Jermaine Lindsey.
PROJECT CONTEXT
These studies bring body references, garment surfaces and technical communication into one view. They show how an idea can be examined at several scales: overall silhouette, individual components and the placement of a graphic.
The scanned head places the eyewear outline in context. It makes the relationship between the brow, lens area and side profile easier to judge than an isolated drawing.
Garment views communicate volume and panel relationships. The placement sheet then shifts attention to artwork position, so silhouette and graphics can be reviewed independently.
The workshop film adds a physical-making perspective to the digital studies. Together, the drawings, geometry and footage communicate different parts of the development process.
01 / FORM & PROPORTION
A scanned head provides a reference for exploring the eyewear’s wraparound shape. The studies move from a drawn outline to an open frame and a rendered surface.

02 / GARMENT DEVELOPMENT
Digital garment studies explore the relationship between silhouette, seams and graphics. Construction sketches and placement sheets communicate the design at a more detailed scale.
